Chapter 7: Audio
After completing this chapter, you will know how to:
- Define the three basic kinds of audio used in multimedia productions
- Create a waveform audio recording of your voice or any other sound source
- Set recording levels to ensure a good signal-to-noise ratio
- Experience how the sampling rate and bits-per-sample settings affect the quality of the sound and the size (required bandwidth) of the waveform audio file
- Trim the audio by deleting unwanted sounds that may be at its beginning or ending
- Understand how you can use ambient sound to create a sense of realism on your multimedia screens
