New Graduate Student Safety Orientation
Each year departments are required to provide a safety orientation for new graduate students coming to campus. In general, this will occur in late summer or early fall. A report of how
training was conducted and the names of the students trained must be forwarded from the department to the Provost through the Deans.
The following options are available for the training:
- New Graduate Student Safety Training Online. We offer both Laboratory and Non-Laboratory versions, so you will have to provide
information on which class you should take. Print off the certificate at the end of the training, sign and return it to your Safety Chair or Department office.
- Arrange for a departmental presentation by contacting DEHS.
Questions concerning the New Graduate Student Safety Orientation should be directed to DEHS or by calling extension x8475.
