Ergonomics Program
The University of Delaware's Ergonomics Program has been developed to assist University employees with the identification and modification of work-related ergonomic risk factors where necessary
and feasible to ensure a safe and healthful work environment. Information regarding the University's Ergonomics Program, as well as additional resources regarding ergonomics issues in the
workplace, can be obtained at the following links:
- Attend Computer Workstation Ergonomic Training
- Training sessions can help you identify ergonomic problem areas at your computer workstation and make appropriate adjustments.
- An on-site training session can be scheduled for your department or unit. Contact EHS at dehsafety@udel.edu or x8475.
- Schedule a Workstation Consultation
- No charge, on-site evaluation to determine ergonomic risk factors and recommend proper adjustments to your workstation.
- Contact EHS at dehsafety@udel.edu or x8475.
- Once a consultation has been scheduled, please complete and submit this form.
- Approximately 4 weeks after the consultation, please complete and submit this form.
- Ergonomic Chair Loan Program
- “Test drive” a chair before you make a decision to purchase it. Chairs are available for a loan of three weeks, free of charge. Schedule to meet an EHS staff member to view the various chairs available for loan at dehsafety@udel.edu or x8475.

- Ergonomic Equipment Loan Program for Computer Workstations
- EHS has a selection of Ergonomic Equipment for a loan of three weeks each, free of charge.
- These items include:
- Sit-stand desktops such as the Varidesk and the Humanscale Quickstand
- Various document holders
- Alternatives to the standard mouse, such as the RollerMouse
- Laptop stands to allow ergonomic use of a laptop
