How to configure Outlook
to view and send messages from a shared mailbox
Outlook 2003
NOTE
These instructions require that the shared mailbox has already been set up by Network and System Services (NSS).
- To view a shared mailbox:
- From the Tools menu, click Email Accounts.
- Select View or Change Existing email account.
- Click Next.
- Highlight Microsoft Exchange server.
- Click Change.
- Click More Settings.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Type the name of the shared mailbox (e.g., us-test@udel.edu).
- To send from a shared mailbox:
- Click New and type your message.
- From the Options menu, click Show From.
- Type the name of the shared mailbox in the From field.
Outlook 2007
NOTE

- To view a shared mailbox:
- From the Tools menu, click Account Settings.
- Click the Email tab.
- Click Change.
- Click More Settings.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Click Add.
- Type the name of the shared mailbox (e.g., us-test).
- Click OK. (Your shared mailbox should appear on the left with your list of folders.)
- To send from a shared mailbox:
- Click New and type your message.
- From the Options menu, click Show From.
- Type the name of the shared mailbox in the From field.
