How to search the University LDAP directories

NOTE
If you don’t see the University LDAP directories, read these instructions to add them. Or, contact your CITA for assistance.

You may also search for e-mail addresses using Internet Explorer at http://www.udel.edu/peoplesearch.

  1. From a new mail message, click the To or Cc button. The Select Names dialog box will open.
  2. In the Show Names from the drop-down menu, choose the directory you want to search (e.g., University of Delaware).
  3. In the Select Names dialog box, click the Advanced button.
  4. Select Find from the drop-down menu.
  5. In the Find dialog box, use the First name and Last name fields (one or both) as criteria for finding the recipient. Use the Begins with and Contains radio buttons accordingly.
  6. Click OK.
  7. Select the intended recipient, and click the To, Cc, or Bcc button accordingly. You may do additional searches to include more recipients.
  8. When you are finished adding names, click OK.
