Page and Story Content Types
Page
A page is the most basic Drupal content type. Characteristics of this content type include:
- static content, and
- infrequent updates.
A page may be (but isn't required to be) reflected in the main navigation system of the site. A page differs from a story in that, by default, a page doesn't post:
- author information,
- timestamps, or
- comments.
Story
A story is the content type used to post articles and is one of the two default content types in every Drupal installation. A story, unlike a page, does post author information, timestamps, or comments by default. The default settings can be changed so that a page is essentially the same as a story. A specialized form of the page content type is the book page.
