Drupal Content Types
The basic building block of Drupal content is called a node. Each node has a designated content type. All items within a content type share the same attributes and permissions.
Every installation of Drupal includes the following two content types:
You can enable additional content types on the Modules page [Administer > Site building > Modules]. These content types include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Blog entry
- Book page
- Forum
- Poll
The Content Construction Kit (CCK) provides an even greater range of content types.
