Ulju County administrators with Newark Mayor Vance Funk

Six public administrators from Ulju County in South Korea spent four months from September to December studying at ELI and receiving hands-on experience of government practices at the city, county and state levels. Newark Mayor Vance Funk officially welcomed the group. Other activities organized by coordinator Baerbel Schumacher included a presentation at the International Council of Delaware quarterly meeting, a tour of the Port of Wilmington and World Trade Center Delaware, and a visit to the Small Business Development Center and the Delaware Technology Park to explore how public and private cooperation benefits the overall growth of the economy.
