Tutor Patrick Ruffin has taken over Wendy’s position as Tutoring Center coordinator.

James Slater and Katie Braiewa have each left the Institute to pursue new interests.

Bonnie Raimy, an ELI tutor, took over responsibility for coordinating the SALC from Katie. Jack Chen, a previous SALC coordinator, returned this summer to teach in the ELI classroom and is now completing his master’s degree in teaching English as a second language at the University of Delaware.

Marlaina Casey, the ELI resident assistant in the dormitory and Language Partner Program coordinator, graduated from the University of Delaware in June.

David Quayle, orientation coordinator, was recalled to the military and is presently serving in Iraq. His friends and family are counting the days till his expected return in December.

Everyone’s favorite secretary and den mother, Dolly Desiderio, has recovered beautifully from a serious illness. Dolly and everyone at ELI are grateful for the hundreds of encouraging emails alumni sent her during her illness.
