CAP students admitted to the University of Delaware

The English Language Institute is proud to announce that 11 of its students have entered the University of Delaware as undergraduates under the Conditional Admissions Program (CAP) in the past year. To be admitted to the university through CAP, students must successfully complete the English for Academic Purposes Level VI Listening/Speaking and Reading/Writing classes, and be recommended by ELI. Students approved for CAP need not take the TOEFL exam.

Congratulations are extended to Carolina Hey Currie from Argentina; Chad Yu and Chang Jie (Jack) Huang from China; Sima Mansouri from Iran; Takayuki Sakurai from Japan; Seung Jun Kim, Hea Zu Seo, Hey-Hyun (Hannah) Shin, and Soo-Jin Yoon from Korea; Ivan Mikic from Yugoslavia; and Yun Yun Zheng from China and the United States.

Beth Ann Gluck, assistant director of admissions, works closely with ELI to identify ideal candidates for the CAP program. Students who are academically admissible to their choice of degree program but have not yet passed the TOEFL requirements and who wish to become part of this program may inquire through Kelly Galvin, ELI’s admissions counselor.
