Andrea Andrassyova (Slovakia ’95) <aandrassyova@hotmail.com>an ELI valedictorian, married Juray Kiss on September 20, 2003 in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Connie Ortiz (Colombia ’00) <connie_ortiz@yahoo.com> is working as a sales representative for Novartis, a pharmaceutical company in Colombia.

Evelia Estrada Black (Nicaragua '96) and her husband Peter had a baby girl, Dahlia Maria, on May 5, 2002

Eric Darrigrand (France ’02) <eric.darrigrandlacarrieu@univ-rennes1.fr> accepted a position in the Mathematics Research Institute at the University of Rennes, France, in September after finishing out the academic year as a postdoctoral researcher in UD’s math department.

Fernando Oliveira (Brazil ’99) <fezuppa@yahoo.com> is currently working for Deloitte Touche in Brazil as a tax services consultant.

Harouna Sangare (Mali ’00) has returned to Delaware to finish his degree at Goldey Beacom College. He hopes to open a French pastry shop in Newark.
Lorena Gayosso <ankara@avantel.com> (Mexico '98) and husbandf Hector Gimenez had a baby girl, Giselle, in November 2000. Lorena works for DuPont Mexico and Hector has his own travel agency.

Hicham Hadni (Morocco ’00) <hicham@udel.edu> is a Ph.D. student in economics with a concentration in finance at the University of Delaware.

Isabella Nazionale (Italy ’00) <turkana98@hotmail.com> is currently using her English skills working in real estate development in Italy and Spain. She also assists an organization that promotes the human rights of tribal groups like the Samburu people of the Lake Turkana region of Africa.

Jimmy Memnon (Haiti ’99) <jimmy_frem@yahoo.com> is working for Beth Israel Hospital in Boston as a patient care technician and studying to be a registered nurse.

Jun Sasaki (Japan ’98) <sasakijun@hotmail.com> graduated from The Art Institute of Philadelphia with a B.A. in interior design in March 2003.

 
Il-Sik Jeon <chickahoy60@hotmail.com> (Korea '99) married Youngrae Yi (Korea) on April 9, 2003. Il-Sik teaches English to Korean students.

Junichi Okazawa (Japan ’99) <junichi16@hotmail.com> graduated from Goldey Beacom College with a degree in CIS in August 2003.

Kevin Smith (Costa Rica, Central American Teacher Training Program’92) <kevsmith01@hotmail.com> and his wife Etsu Hutchison (Costa Rica, CATT ’93) are teaching ESL in a Georgia elementary school.

Kyung Ran Kwon (Korea ’96) <kwonkr@usfk.korea.army.mil> is working at a U.S. army base in South Korea.

Leonice dos Prazeres Barbosa (Brazil ’98) <leonice.barbosa@equant.com> is using her English in Rio de Janeiro for her job at Equant, the leading global carrier of corporate Internet traffic from Latin America to the U.S.

Machiko Shimomura (Japan ’96, MBA, UD ’03) <machikos-mile@hotmail.com> is working for a Japanese trust bank in Hoboken, NJ.

Manuel Da Silva (Colombia ’99) <mac81_99@yahoo.com> traveled to Florida and the Grand Canyon in June and will be getting his undergraduate degree in economics from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota in May.

 
Orlando Ayala (Venezuela '98) and his wife Brenda Nunez (Venezuela '98; MBA, UD '02) had a baby girl, Andrea, earlier this year. Orlando, who is working on his Ph.D., in Mechanical Engineering at UD, accompanied his younger brother Rolando, on his first day of class at ELI in September. A third brother, Luis Ayala, (Venezuela '99) and his wife, Zuleima Karpyn (Venezuela '99) are both studying for their doctorates in Chemical Engineering at Penn State.

Nelly Margarita Rivas (Venezuela ’95) <rivas-nm@pdvsa.com> is an executive assistant for Petroleos De Venezuela and taking English classes to prepare for a career as an English translator.

Rosendo Jurado (Panama ’83) <rjuradob@hotmail.com> received a degree in industrial engineering and is working as an equipment manager and contracting officer for the Panama Canal. He is married and has a seven-year-old daughter.

Tanya Dailey (Ukraine ’02) and her husband Ed had a baby girl, Krista Liana, on January 21.

Tidiane Wann (Guinea ’03) <stwann@hotmail.com> is working for Coca-Cola in Philadelphia as a sales merchandiser.
Jeannette Calvijo and Vinzenzo D'Angelo <enzo.deangelo@seferca.com> (Venezuela '99) welcomed their third child, Ana Katarina, this year.

William Ruiz(Colombia ’02) <wilruizpla@hotmail.com> is working in Barranquilla with a seafood canning plant which recently passed its quality audit with flying colors.

Yasuo Kato (Japan ’95) <kato@nikkocitigroup.com> recently got to experience British English while working in London for two weeks. He is currently employed by Nikko Citigroup Limited in Tokyo.

Yeonjoo Kim (Korea ’02) <happysky@udel.edu> is taking undergraduate courses at UD in order to qualify for the master’s program in art conservation.

Yuzuru Yamazaki (Japan ’02) <holycal8@hotmail.com> is a senior majoring in public relations at Long Island University.
