6:00 p.m., May 31, 2003--More than 30 students who completed their UD course work in Southern Delaware were recognized in a special ceremony Thursday evening, May 29, at the Sussex Pines Country Club in Georgetown.

Recognized students completed requirements for bachelor’s degrees from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the College of Arts and Science and bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from the College of Human Services, Education and Public Policy.

Approximately 300 people attended the ceremony, which included remarks by University President David P. Roselle and Deborah Kee of the UD Alumni Board.

In a very personalized ceremony, each graduate was congratulated by his or her college dean and had an opportunity to make remarks.

A total of 54 graduates earned degrees in Southern Delaware this year, and, in addition to the special ceremony, all were invited to participate in Commencement, Saturday, May 31, in Delaware Stadium and to attend the convocations held by their colleges that day.
