Personnel notes

Professor Ruth Jackson, long-time member of the ELI faculty, is retiring this year. (See her profile -- "Ruth Jackson".)

Wendy Bulkowski is in her second year as a visiting professor at Kobe Shoin Women’s University. She has been joined by Grant Wolf and Deborah Darrell. Grant, who is beginning his two-year appointment as visiting professor, replaced Jan Lefebvre, who has returned to her position in the Christina School District program teaching English at Brookside Elementary School.

David Quayle, former orientation coordinator at ELI, is now working on international programs for the university’s Office of Graduate Studies.

Bonnie Raimy, former coordinator of the Institute’s Self Access Learning Center, now works for the University of Delaware School of Education. Her replacement in the SALC is Ken Cranker, a new teacher at ELI.

Former tutors Victoria Abdel-Salam and Jack Chen have completed their master’s degrees in teaching English as a second language. Jack is employed in the Maryland public schools and Vicky is working as an ESL teacher in the Colonial School District in Delaware.

Frank Fierro, tutor, is recovering from surgery. Kristen Wallender, long time student worker in the office, has graduated from the university and is working for a law office in Wilmington,
