Akiko Yokomizo: coko4530@yahoo.com (Japan ’03) graduated from Salem Community College in New Jersey. She married Elijah McDaniel on May 28.

Akihiro Fujii: akihiro2027@hotmail.com is living in Tokyo and working for a logistics company where he uses his English every day on the phone and email.

Hyo-Jin Park: hjpark@sfu.edu (Korea '01) is studying for her Master's in TESL at San Francisco State University. Hyo-Jin met her former teacher Barbara Morris at the TESOL convention in Long Beach, California, after seeing Barbara's name on the program and going to her presentation.

Alfredo Avila: nous_77@yahoo.com (Mexico ’02) is studying at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore and hoping to be ordained as a deacon in December and as a priest in June 2005.

Bonmedo Tambunan: bonmedo@hotmail.com (Indonesia ’94) returned home in 1997 after receiving his bachelor’s degree in computer science from UD and is working with Citibank Indonesia in the Electronic Banking Department.

Chiaka Yasukouchi: chakasmile@hotmail.com (Japan ‘02) is living in central Florida, where she is the manager of a small motel.

Hicham Tounsi: (Morocco ’99) has graduated from Drexel University with a degree in computer engineering and began studying for his master’s in Computer Engineering at MIT in the fall.

Jin-Ho Ok: jhok@hufs.ac.kr (Korea ’04) and his wife welcomed a baby boy, Sanghyun, on May 11.

Jimmy Memnon: babycoo@blackplanet.com (Haiti ’99) graduated from college last year and was married on January 23 to his long time girlfriend, Maria. The couple is living in Boston, where Jimmy works as a nurse technician.

Juliana Vicente: juvicente@hotmail.com (Brazil '03) and Fernando Sousa Lima (Brazil '03) were married in October '03 and have a baby boy, José Paulo.

Jong Hyouk (Jerry) Lee: hijerry@wooribank.com (Korea ’94) is an assistant manager for Woori Bank in Seoul, South Korea. Jerry visited friends in Newark in March.

Juan Canitrot: juancani1@arnet.com.ar (Argentina ’98) is working as a psychiatrist in Argentina and doing laboratory research in biotechnology to complete a master’s degree in that area. He spent four months in Cambridge, England, in 2000-2001 for clinical training in psychiatry.

Juno Lo: juno_lo@hotmail.com (Hong Kong ‘95) is pursuing a master’s degree in communication and new media at the City University of Hong Kong.

Koichi Watanabe: Mcaexc112@aol.com (Japan ’01) has been promoted to sales department manager at Mitsubishi Polyester in Yokohama, Japan.

Olga Kostadinova (Russia '98), her husband Angel Popov (Bulgaria '98) and their daughter Tomy have moved from Rhode Island, where Angel worked as a professional singer/guitarist in Boston and Olga taught classical piano in Providence for five years. Leo H. M.Wang: leowang@elansat.com (Taiwan ’04)) returned to Taiwan after taking Oral and Written Business English, interviewed with 15 companies and took a a managerial job with ELANsat Technology Inc.

Magdalena Muñoz: memvi@hotmail.com (Chile ’02) received a scholarship from the Municipality of Santiago de Chile to study English at the American Institute there. A schoolteacher, Magdalena took evening classes to prepare for the TOEFL exam.

Maria José Loayza Mera: mariajose_loayza@hotmail.com (Ecuador ’04) is studying business at Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington.

Mehmet Sukru Gulay: gulay@animal.ufl.edu (Turkey ’95) is working for Akdeniz University Veterinary Faculty Department of Physiology in Antalya, Turkey, and traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, to make a presentation at the annual meeting of the Animal Scientists Association in July.

(Turkey '95) was married July 26, 2003, and is working as a regional sales executive for a chemical company in Istanbul. He and his wife, Secil, an architect, had a baby girl, Beril, on September 1.

Rie Miyake: rieriem@hotmail.com (Japan ’94) studied German at the Goethe Institut in Dresden, Germany for eight weeks. While there, she visited her former ELI classmate Almut Goeppert (Germany ’94) in Kiel, where Almut works in a hospital as a doctor.

Saihanjuna: saihanjuna@hotmail.com (China ’03) presented an academic paper in Busan, Korea, in July.

Sayaka Funae: s.funae@astrazeneca.com (Japan ‘93) is assistant to the president for AstraZeneca in Osaka, Japan.

Shiho Nabeshima: reshiho@ybb.ne.jp (Japan ‘02) reports that she has fully recovered after being run over by a car on Elkton Road while she was an ELI student in 2002. She sends her thanks for everyone’s prayers and support and hopes you will write her.

Soung-Young Cho: scho@dewberry.com (Korea ’96) got his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from UD in 2000 and is working as an engineering consultant for Dewberry and Davis in Baltimore, MD.

Sung Ho (Alex) Hong: front43@ yahoo.com (Korea ’99) married in May 2004 and is a financial and operational manager for Coca-Cola Korea.

Tidianne Wann: stwann@hotmail.com (Guinea ‘03) is working two jobs and studying for his master’s degree in business administration at Wilmington College.

Yohei Kadoya: (Japan ’04) returned home to Kobe, Japan, after completing a Peace Building Program at Eastern Mennonite College in Harrisonburg, VA, and a Business English Program at Boston University, and visiting his brother in Mongolia.

Yoshitaka Yamaguchi: yamaguchi@ planet.nl (Japan ‘01) has been working as a brand manager for SPRO B.V. in the Netherlands for the last three years, where he has production, export and accounting responsibilities for the company’s fish tackle products in the European market.

Yuzuru Yamazaki: (Japan ‘02) received his bachelor’s degree in communications in May 2004 from Long Island University.
