UD Online courses are not self-paced. Your schedule for viewing the lectures or accessing the Internet will be flexible. However, the assignment and exam completion deadlines for all distance learning courses, regardless of the technology, are set by the instructor and are listed in your course syllabus.
To be a successful distance learning student, you need to be self-motivated and well organized to stay on track. Experienced students recommend that you set aside a specific time each week devoted to class videotape or CD viewing and/or Internet access, reading course manuals and texts, and completing course assignments.
Every course has a different work load and different course requirements, making each course schedule unique. Some courses will require library research for papers and projects. Expect your UD Online course to require at least as much time as a traditional campus course.
You will be expected to follow the University's academic honesty policies as described in the Academic Honesty and Dishonesty booklet. A copy of this booklet will be provided to you at the beginning of the semester. For an unabridged version of the University's policies on academic honesty and dishonesty, please refer to the Official Student Handbook.
Please contact the UD Online office immediately if you change your mailing address.
