Videotaped and CD Courses
Videotape and CD Procedures
A complete set of videotapes and CDs from pre-taped courses will be sent to your home at the beginning of the semester. However, if the course is being taped live while you are taking it, you will receive class videotapes weekly.
Occasionally a videotape or CD will be defective. Please notify the UD Online Annex immediately for a replacement (302/831-1078 or 1-800-597-1444 long distance only).
The videotapes and CDs must be returned to the UD Online Annex at the student's expense one week after the end of the semester. Instructions concerning return deadlines, address and procedures are enclosed with your shipment. Please note: If you have received an extension from your instructor to complete the course work, the extension does not apply to the videotapes and CDs. They must be returned to the UD Online Annex promptly. This return policy enables students who are registered for the next semester to receive their materials on time. Videotapes and CDs should not be returned to other University locations or offices. Please include the packing list in the box when returning tapes and CDs make sure sets are complete. There will be a $10 per tape fee for missing videotapes and CDs. Please do not enclose any other correspondence or course assignments with the videotapes and CDs.
Overdue Videotapes and CDs
Students whose videotapes and CDs are overdue will have a financial hold placed on their University accounts equal to the replacement cost of the set of videotapes (a minimum of $180 per course.) Students with financial holds on their accounts cannot register for future courses or receive transcripts from the University. Students with a tape hold history will not be permitted to register for future UD Online courses without the specific permission of their dean or advisor.

Scheduling Exams
You will receive an exam schedule for the semester for non-nursing exams. Please complete the Exam Scheduler Form listing your course and the date, time, and location for each exam for the UD Online course(s) in which you are enrolled. Return the Exam Scheduler Form to the UD Online office. The dates for each exam may not coincide with the exact date in your course syllabus but your instructor is aware of the adjustments that are made in the exam scheduling. Please read the Exam Scheduler Policy carefully. Standards for excused absences are the same as those for on-campus courses.
Graduating seniors need to notify faculty and the UD Online office of their status and arrange special exam dates.
Exams for nursing courses are handled by the College of Health and Nursing Sciences, whose Division of Special Programs will send students specific instructions for nursing courses.
Exam Security
Incidents of academic misconduct, although rare, are subject to University procedures for handling cases of academic dishonesty. Students are encouraged to read the abbreviated brochure on Academic Honesty and Dishonesty that is mailed at the beginning of each semester.
