Personnel

New IT Staff

Matthew Connor started work as a Production Control Analyst I in Network and Systems Services (IT-NSS) in January. Matthew has been a Computer Operator I in IT-NSS since 2012. Prior to coming to UD, he worked several years in the technology field in private industry. Matthew's main job responsibilities are maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the administrative production schedule for Human Resources, student information, and financials systems as well as for central database, reporting, web server, and fundraising systems.

Theophilus Mensah joined IT-WD in November as an Applications Programmer III. Theo has many years of experience working as a Java developer at Chubb Insurance. As a member of IT-WD’s Technical Resource Group, he will do Java programming work on the institution-wide, web-based information services that support the University's core business systems.

Michael Kerrigan started work as a Classroom Technology Technician I in IT-UMS in November. He had been a part-time employee working as a Technician Assistant in IT-UMS since 2012 and worked part-time for UD’s Office of Communication and Marketing as a photographer. Michael will help the Classroom Technology group provide support of campus classrooms.

Letcher "Tony" Whaley joined IT-NSS as an Network Engineer III in in December. He comes to UD with many years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Tony is a BICSI certified Registered Communications Distribution Designer and he's certified in the areas of data center design, wireless design, and electronic and safety and security. Tony has joined the other network engineers in planning, designing, integrating, and implementing UD voice, video, and data networks.

Retiring IT Staff

Jay Kelso, Applications Programmer III, IT-MIS retired in February with over 47 years of service. Congratulations and best wishes!
