Orientation program teaches by doing

A famous Chinese proverb says, “Tell me and I will forget. Show me and I may remember. Involve me and I will understand.”

Enthusiastic students hawk the yard sale to benefit the International Red Cross.

Throughout the year, the orientation committee, headed by Mary Beth Worrilow and Deb Detzel, has planned a variety of activities to involve students in campus and community life. From hikes in White Clay Creek State Park, intramural sports and Rapid Dating to holding a yard sale to benefit the International Red Cross, students have actively experienced the local environment and American customs and cultural values, while improving their language skills.
