The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI)
The Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) incorporates the services and supports the Office of Affirmative Action & Multicultural Programs, the Office of Women's Affairs and the LGBT Community Office. OEI is housed centrally in 305 Hullihen Hall. OEI advocates for an equitable and inclusive work and learning environment by monitoring, coordinating and overseeing the University's diversity and inclusion initiatives, as well as ensuring equal opportunity and compliance with governmental requirements. OEI provides confidential support services for addressing concerns and allegations of harassment or discrimination and provides resources and programs for underrepresented groups on campus. The unit also serves as the administrative arm to the Commission on the Status of Women and the Commission to Promote Racial and Cultural Diversity. In addition to working with Human Resources, the unit will also work closely with the Office of the Provost to address equity and inclusion at the faculty level and with Student Life to ensure students' voices are heard.
The Office monitors the University's Affirmative Action Program and works with academic departments and administrative units to set annual goals for enhancing the representation of women and underrepresented groups at all employment levels of the University. Office staff are also available to advise employees who believe that they may have been the subject of discrimination.
Center for Black Culture
Welcome to the Center for Black Culture at the University of Delaware. For over 30 years, the Center has worked to support and enhance cultural diversity on campus and in the surrounding community by offering a variety of programs that encourage an appreciation and understanding of the diverse cultures in the African Diaspora. The Center aids and supports black students in understanding and assessing the various resources available to them on campus.
Commission on the Status of Women
The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) reports directly to the University President regarding concerns of women students, faculty and staff. The CSW issues an annual report that makes recommendations for changes in policies, programs, procedures and hiring practices to achieve equity for women. The Office of Women's Affiars (OWA) provides administrative support to the CSW.

Working principally with professional, salaried and hourly staff, the Office handles professional and salaried staff grievances and helps mid- and senior-level managers better understand how to deal effectively with employees. The Office also is responsible for the administration of the University's AFSCME contracts with hourly and skilled craft employees, unemployment and worker's compensation, Family Medical Leave Act and other labor laws.
Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered Community Office
The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgendered Community Office (LGBT) serves as an information and resource center for the University's LGBT community. Office staff are available to discuss issues of particular concern to lesbian, gay and bisexual faculty, staff and students, provide programming and, where indicated, offer support services and/or refer students and employees to other appropriate offices. Students and employees can also contact HAVEN, a student-run organization, for information and assistance.
Office of Disability Support Services

Women's Affairs
The Office of Women's Affairs, serving UD since 1978, advocates for equality by offering confidential support services, providing resources on women's issues and presenting and celebrating the contributions and perspectives of women on- and off-campus.
