Alvaro (Juan) Millan Angel <amillan@interco.net.co> (Colombia '88) and his wife, Lina Maria, had a baby boy, Juan Camillo, October 20. Both Juan and his wife are lawyers in Colombia.

Alvaro Badilla <alvaro_badilla@costarricense.cr> (Costa Rica '01) is managing one of his family's retail clothing and jewelry stores in his hometown, Santa Cruz.

Brenda Muñoz (Venezuela '00) married Orlando Ayala <omayala@udel.edu> (Venezuela '98) on April 6, 2002. Brenda works as a conversion specialist at Wilmington Trust and Orlando is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering at UD. Ayako Sekihara (Japan '02) began her undergraduate work at Smith College in Massachusetts.

Daisuke Tanaka (Japan '02) will begin working for Subaru in Japan in the spring of 2003.

Gonzalo Estrada (Colombia '99) received his master's degree in mechanical engineering from Delaware in 2002 and has moved to Houston, Texas, where he works in industry.

Gustavo Lopez Perez <glpmcepe@coqui.net> (Panama '85) is a partner in a consulting firm in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he lives with his wife and two sons, 7 and 5. After leaving ELI, he received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Villanova and a master's degree in structural engineering from Cornell University.

Marlena and Tim Conrad Marlena Acuña Poblete <marlenychile@yahoo.com.ar> (Chile '01) married Tim Conrad in May 2002. Marlena met her husband, a driver for the University of Delaware, when she arrived at Philadelphia Airport with a group of Chilean teachers last September. "I saw him and something happened to me," she said. Although Marlena had to go back to her job in Chile, she returned to Newark -- and to Tim -- on Valentine's Day. The couple plan another wedding ceremony in Chile in December.

Jimmy Memnon <jimmy_fredm@yahoo.com> (Haiti '99) graduated this year with an associate degree in nursing from Bunker Hill Community College in Boston. Jose Carlos Ureta (Panama '85) was head of the agronomy faculty at the University of Panama in Chiriqui for 12 years and is now Director of Technical Assistance at the main campus in Panama City.

Juan Fernando Marin <jfmarin@SUMMA.AERO> (Colombia '99) is working as an insurance coordinator for Alianza Summa in Colombia.

Julia and Sang-Hee Kim <juliakl@freechal.com> (both Korea '97) and their two small children live in Tampa, Florida, where Sang-Hee is a graduate student.

Laura Fasoli (Italy '92) had a baby in 2002 and lives in Verona, Italy.

Liliana Sierra (Colombia '98) who is living in Germany with her husband Karsten, has won a one-year contract with Volkswagen as a parts buyer.

Mariko Ukawa <ukamari@dream.com> (Japan '88) is married with two boys, 12 and 9, and is teaching English to elementary school children and Japanese as a second language to foreigners in Aomori, Japan.

Mashal Buhamed <mbuhamad@qualitynet.net> (Kuwait '93) is a network engineer for the leading data and internet provider in Kuwait. He is married and has two daughters, 5 and 18 months.

Chaka and Doug Chaka Yasukuochi <chakasmile@hotmail.com> (Japan '02) married Doug Haines in August 2002 and honeymooned at the Daytona 500 in Florida. They will live in Elkton Md as Chaka continues her education here.

Mayumi Ishihara <mayumi_sanuki@hotmail.com> (Japan '88) and Nobuyuki Sanuki nobuyuki_sanuki@hotmail.com (Japan '97) are taking a world tour before they immigrate to Australia.

Mehmet Sukru Gulay <gulay@animal.ufl.edu> (Turkey '95) received his Ph.D. in animal science from the University of Florida in June. He is currently doing postdoctoral work at that university.

Hector Rubio <hector.rubio@chevrontexaco.com> (Venezuela '99) and his wife Adriana Patino had their first child, Juan Pablo, on March 11. Hector is working as a financial analyst for Chevron Texaco. Hector Rubio family

Nestor Landaeta (Venezuela '99) married Yelitza in October 2002 in Caracas.

Sergio Parra <tours_parra@chilemajico.com> (Chile '00) handles rental property in Chile in resort areas. His new website is www.chilemagico.com, where he provides vacation information about Chile in English and Spanish, as well as links to ELI.

Yabo Yu <yaboyu@udel.edu> (China '01) is in her second year in the University of Delaware's School of Nursing and working as a pediatric nurse intern at the A.I.duPont Institute Children's Hospital

Yasuo Kato (Japan '95) recently visited friends at ELI and took a road trip from Memphis to New Orleans. He is beginning a new job in Tokyo as assistant vice president for Nikko Salomon Smith Barney Limited.

Yuzuru Yamazaki <holycal8@hotmail.com> (Japan '02) transferred to Long Island University to study public relations in preparation for working for his beloved New York Mets.
