1	Labor Day Holiday. Classes suspended. University offices closed.
2	New Student Convocation.
3	Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.
16	Last day to register or to add courses for Fall Semester. After this date, tuition and a $20 processing fee will be charged for change of registration; students withdrawing from courses will receive a grade of "W" on permanent record. See academic advisor before making changes.
26-28	Parents and Family Weekend.
29	Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown. See the Student Guide to University Policies and/or Faculty Handbook for policy on excused absences.

October 2008
8	Yom Kippur begins at sundown. See the Student Guide to University Policies and/or Faculty Handbook for policy on excused absences.
13	Registration for Winter Session begins. See your academic advisor.
17	Freshman mid-term marking period ends.
17-19	Homecoming Weekend.
28	Last day to change registration or withdraw from courses for Fall Semester without academic penalty.

November 2008
4	Election Day. Classes suspended. University offices closed.
20	Registration for Spring Semester 2009 begins. Seek advisement early!
26	Thanksgiving recess begins at 5:00 p.m. Classes starting at or after 5:00 p.m. will not meet. Residence Halls close at 7:00 p.m. and will re-open on November 30th at 2:00 p.m.

December 2008
1	Classes resume following Thanksgiving recess.
10	Last day of classes; classes end at 10:00 p.m.
11	Reading Day. No examinations scheduled.
12	Fee payment deadline for Winter Session 2009. Final examinations begin.
13, 14	Reading Days. No examinations scheduled.
19	Final examinations end. Residence halls close at 10:00 p.m.

January 2009 - Winter Session
4	Residence hall check-in begins at 2:00 p.m.
5	Classes begin at 8:00 a.m.
