academic advisement

Freshman:
You are strongly encouraged to meet with your advisor prior to the registration periods. Other things to discuss: minors, study abroad, undergraduate research, CHEP Summer Scholars.

Sophomore:
Meeting with your advisor will ensure that you are following the right course sequence for your major. If you fail to follow the proper sequence, you may find it difficult registering for upper level courses. In addition, this is a great year to discuss study abroad, summer internships, and other research opportunities.

Junior & Senior:
Review your academic progress report with your advisor. Verify your graduation term and make sure it is accurate in the UDSIS system. Ask your advisor for their support in writing a letter of recommendation and start finalizing your list of other references for employment or graduate school applications.
