The location of the house listed on the probate inventory is 123 Market Street. Our research has shown that in the 1850s, the buildings on the block were renumbered. While we do not know the exact address as of today, our research has shown that it is most likely 511 Market St. If in fact the house was 511 Market St, it would be found directly across from what is now called “Old Town Hall,” built in 1798. It was also next to the Bayard Hotel, later renamed the “Delaware House.”
