Requesting Space for Special Events

Course room scheduling is a priority for academic areas. No other events will be scheduled in classroom space until all courses for the term have been scheduled. Requests for space for dates beyond the current term will be held until all courses for the next term have been scheduled. There are usually no rooms available on MWF 10am-2:30pm or on TR 9:30am-3:30pm during the Spring and Fall terms. Classroom requests for summer programs should be made in mid April.

Lobby space in Gore, Memorial, Purnell, Smith and Willard Halls is unavailable before 7pm Monday-Thursday and before 5pm on Fridays. NO FOOD OR DRINK is permitted in classroom space. Catered events should be scheduled in conference and student center rooms designed for this purpose. Any catered events held in academic lobby space need to order service level 2 or higher to ensure proper clean up after the event.

Additional Services: Please contact Movers Services for additional tables; Catering for food service (Bayard Sharp Hall or other designated areas); Media Services for questions about or keys for media equipment; and Custodial Staff at 831-8469.

Course room assignments (regular meeting rooms for the term) and final exam requests are made through the Department contact person. Out of class exams for multi-section courses are scheduled prior to registration for the term.
