The Office of Graduate & Professional Education supports graduate programs in their efforts toward creating racial and ethnic diversity in the classroom by communicating recruitment opportunities, alliances, and sharing best practices for the coordination of underrepresented graduate recruitment.

Established Alliances

National Name Exchange was established to help match graduate schools with underrepresented students interested in graduate education. The National Name Exchange seeks to:

• Increase the number of qualified underrepresented students accepted into graduate school.
• Improve student access to information on graduate school opportunities.
• Work towards personalizing the recruitment effort by designating a National Name Exchange institutional representative to facilitate information exchange between the institution and prospective students.
• Assist graduate schools in identifying qualified underrepresented candidates for consideration for graduate study.

The University of Delaware representative to the National Name Exchange is Louise Bank.
