Comments/Safety

Routine safety procedures for microbiology should be followed. Inoculating needle must be sterilized in the flame of a Bunsen burner or in an incinerator. Alternatively, plastic disposable inoculating needles can be used. Safety glasses should be worn for all laboratory procedures. Inoculated media should be autoclaved before disposal.
