UD IT Security Response: A change at Kroll

Kroll Advisory Solutions is changing the credit bureau (from Experian to TransUnion) that it uses to monitor UD subscribers' credit activity.

Kroll is in the process of sending letters to all subscribers about updates to their Web site as a result of this change.

For the vast majority of UD subscribers, receiving their monthly notifications of credit activity, no action is required at this time. However, if you choose to log in to Kroll's Web site to check on a transaction mentioned in your Kroll monitoring report, you will need to follow the new procedure as outlined in the letters.

About 800 UD subscribers who chose not to have UD send their personal information to Kroll but chose to give that information to Kroll themselves must log in to the new Kroll site to continue their credit monitoring services.

Samples of the letters UD subscribers are receiving are linked below.

Standard First Letter First Letter to those who MUST log in to the Kroll site to continue services
Standard Second Letter Second Letter to those who MUST log in to the Kroll site to continue services

Make sure you save your letters from Kroll Advisory Solutions so that you can follow their new instructions to log in to their Web site.

For further information, please call Kroll Advisory Solutions Member Services at 1-877-309-9841 between 8:00 a.m and 8:00 p.m. (EST), Monday through Friday.

We remind you to safeguard your private information. Do not respond to unsolicited requests for your personal information. The University will not contact you and ask to confirm any of your personal information. If an unknown person contacts you and claims that he or she can help you if you would just confirm your personal information, do not surrender any information.
