Financial aid update for graduate certificate programs
Students in graduate degree programs (master's and doctoral) can qualify for federal financial aid by filing the
FAFSA application. Recently, the University of Delaware has
developed a number of graduate certificate programs to
provide targeted skills for students who are seeking to
develop specific skill sets. The U.S. Department of Education classifies all non-degree programs as "Gainful Employment"
(GE) programs. GE programs must be pre-approved by the
U.S. Department of Education before students in those
programs can apply for federal financial aid.
