Ravi has served as director of OISS at the University of Delaware since March 2013. With over 12 years of experience in the field of international education, he has held leadership positions in the area of international student and scholar services, admissions and recruitment, and visiting professional programs. In his last role prior to joining UD, he led the international programming and outreach team at Michigan State University's OISS to help advance internationalization on campus and in the community. Originally from the island of Mauritius, Ravi first came to the U.S. as an international student himself and consequently stayed to work as an expatriate. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration from Kendall College and a master's degree in communication from Michigan State University. At the national level, Ravi serves as chair-elect of the Knowledge Community for International Student and Scholar Services (KCISSS) with NAFSA: Association of International Educators. He is also faculty in the Masters of Arts in Intercultural Relations program at the Intercultural Communication Institute.

Frances currently serves as the Coordinator for Immigration Services at OISS at the University of Delaware. In addition to a passion for law and regulatory compliance, she is a proponent for international education; her research interests include international student success, and the cognitive benefits of foreign language acquisition. After obtaining baccalaureate degrees in Spanish Language and Literatures and Political Science with a concentration in Globalization and International Relations, Frances, a UD Alumni, obtained her Master’s Degree in Education from Widener University in Pennsylvania. Frances has presented nationally on topics such as language acquisition and internationalization, and is currently developing a measurement instrument for evaluating a University’s propensity for fostering international student success. On campus, Frances also tutors English Language Students in preparation for success at the University level and occasionally lectures for teacher preparation courses, speaking on topics such as internationalization in the classroom and communicating with non-native English speaking families in US grade schools. In her free time, she satiates her creative thirst by crocheting, gardening and running a local photography business.

Anne McCullin, a UD Alumni, is an International Student Advisor at OISS at the University of Delaware and has contributed to the growth of the office since 1996. Experiencing the evolution of the international population at UD piqued her interest in assisting and advising international students and scholars, and her enthusiasm for the pace they bring to the office has kept her attracted to the field. In her tenure at OISS, she has served almost every population the office serves, including visiting scholars, English Language students and most currently, the Graduate student population. To balance the fast pace and challenges that each day brings to the office, Anne is an avid reader and looks forward to her monthly book club meetings. She has had the opportunity to travel abroad, most recently to Peru, Costa Rica, the Caribbean, and France.

Brenda currently serves as an International Student Advisor in the OISS at the University of Delaware. With over 23 years of dedication to the University, Brenda feels that she has found her niche working with international students. Prior to joining the OISS, Brenda served in the Division of Professional and Continuing Studies where she honed her skills in student records management. Feeling fortunate to have the opportunity to work with international students, Brenda finds the entire advisor experience a rewarding and educational one, from creating an initial I-20 to authorizing employment as a recent graduate finds his or her first job in the US. When she is not in the office, Brenda enjoys riding her Can-Am motorcycle and spending time with family.

Janica Cimo currently serves as an Immigration Services Advisor of OISS at the University of Delaware. Her passion for different cultures and own study abroad experiences attracted to her to field. After obtaining baccalaureate degrees in Anthropology and Spanish Language and Literatures, Janica, a UD Alumni, worked for the Spanish of Ministry of Education as a English Language and Culture Assistant in southern Spain. She later obtained her Master’s Degree in Education and Human Development in International Education from George Washington University in Washington, DC. In her role prior to joining OISS, she organized international programming at George Washington and presented cross-cultural trainings for university departments and organizations such as Fulbright. Through the NAFSA network, she actively collaborates with other institutions in the region in an effort to support the progress and experience of J-1 Scholars and Student Interns in the US, and has developed and delivered presentations to this end. In her free time, she enjoys sailing on the Chesapeake, traveling and cooking.

Olga Scarpero is an International Student Advisor at OISS. Born and raised in Russia, Olga moved to the U.S. in 2006 to continue her collegiate education. Her personal experience as an international student greatly contributed to her passion for the field of international education. She holds a B.S. in Linguistics and Intercultural Communications, a B.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and an MBA. Prior to joining OISS, Olga worked as an International Admissions Coordinator at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Olga is very excited about the opportunity to work with the international students of UD and assist them with all aspects of their academic lives. Outside of work Olga enjoys traveling and at least once a year she tries to go somewhere she has never been before.

Jazmin Mora joins the OISS student advising team from the San Francisco Bay Area. After studying at the University of San Francisco for both her undergraduate and graduate programs (bachelor's politics, master's international and multicultural education- emphasis TESL), Jazmin found the field of higher education administration to provide the perfect balance of structure and creativity. Prior to OISS, Jazmin worked at the University of California, Berkeley, for Campus Shared Services (the College of Natural Resources) and the Berkeley International Office. Jazmin is a dedicated advocate for international students and scholars and is inspired by the continuous learning opportunities presented by the field of international education. Outside of work Jazmin enjoys discovering new world music artists, attending concerts, and visiting friends in Latin America.

Crystal Coleman joined the Office for International Students and Scholars in June 2013 as the Administrative Assistant. Her responsibilities include providing support and assistance to the Director and management of all clerical and administrative functions in the immediate office. Crystal enjoys working in the fast paced working environment of the OISS office. Crystal strives to provide quality customer service and support to all international student and scholars. Crystal attended Strayer University where she majored in Business Administration. With over 12 years of Higher education experience Crystal has consistently made a positive difference in serving students and faculty. In her last role prior to joining UD, she most recently, was a key player in effectively coordinating various activities related to the wind down of the Wesley College New Castle Campus. Crystal enjoys spending time with her family and friends; she also enjoys being outdoors biking, gardening and taking long walks in the park.
