Across the University of Delaware campus, you’ll find graduate students conducting research on subjects ranging from breast cancer to solar energy, designing landscapes using native plants through a program with world-renowned Longwood Gardens, teaching an introductory course on the oceans to undergraduate students, exploring the history of technology in a cooperative program with Hagley Museum, assisting children and adults with disabilities through a variety of services, and much more.

UD currently offers 49 doctoral, 102 master’s degree programs and 14 dual degrees across its seven colleges and more than 60 research centers and institutes. Many of these programs are regarded among the very best in the nation. UD is one of the top 100 institutions for federal obligations in science and engineering and interdisciplinary initiatives in energy science and policy, the environment, and in human health.

Are all courses at the partner institution available to me?

Some courses are reserved for students in a specific graduate degree curriculum. Check with your coordinator to find out if a desired course is available.

How can I find out what courses are available at the partner institution?

Can I take undergraduate courses?

Yes.

When can I take courses at the partner institution?

You may take courses at the partner institution during periods of enrollment and during semester or vacation breaks, as designated on the home institution's official academic calendar(s). Students registering for classes during semester or vacation breaks must be enrolled at the home institution full-time during the semester immediately preceding the institutionally designated "break period."

Am I automatically enrolled once I complete the application form?

No. Registration will be approved only if you meet all prerequisite, programmatic and administrative requirements of the course. This requires approval from both the home and the partner institutions. You will be informed within no fewer than X days of classes starting.

Can I participate in the Graduate Student Learning Partnership if I am a part-time student at my home institution?

No. The program is currently open to full-time graduate students only.

Can I participate in the Graduate Student Learning Partnership if I am an undergraduate student at my home institution?

No. The program is currently open to full-time graduate students only.

Must I pay for the course?

No. Tuition and fees are included with the full-time tuition at your home school. You are responsible for ancillary costs such as transportation, accommodations, books, supplies, parking, etc.
