The WVUD Transmitter is a
Broadcast Electronics
FM-1C transmitter. It
operates on 91.3 Mhz, feeding a four bay Shively
circularly polarized antenna 135 feet above
average terrain (220 feet above ground level)
on the University of Delaware's Christiana
East Tower (Coordinates - 39 degrees
41 min. 26 sec. North Latitude, 75 degrees
45 min. 23 sec. West Longitude).
The Effective Radiated power is 1000 Watts.
The Air Studio and Production
Studio 1 have Broadcast Electronics
250 series
ten channel consoles. Production Studio 2
is a live performance space. Production studio 3 has a
Broadcast Electronics 150 series eight channel
console. Audio sources include
Denon
DN 951FA CD
players, Technics SP-25 turntables, Otari
MX-5050B
reel to reel tape recorders,
Fidelipac DCR-1000
Digital Cart machines for prerecorded
announcements and promos,
Sennheiser
MD421
and Electrovoice RE-20 Microphones, and
Tascam 112 cassette machines.
