All applications have been processed and the program is underway for this year!

Along with all of the great benefits, such as a $1200 stipend and the chance to meet children's authors and historians, there are some requirements in order to be selected and to continue with the program.

Participant Requirements:

• Strong desire to improve his/her American history content knowledge
• Strong desire to improve his/her knowledge of history and literacy teaching strategies
• Commitment to be an active participant in all of the week-end workshops and the summer institute (see schedule)
• Selection as district representative by central office staff
