EDTC Program Contacts
The sidebar contains e-mail links to the EDTC program's primary contacts, who are the program coordinator, the assistant director, and the senior secretary. Questions about the academic program should be directed to the program coordinator. The assistant director can help with administrative issues, such as the granting of a leave of absence if circumstances arise that require a candidate to stop taking courses for a semester or two. Logistical issues are the domain of the senior secretary, who is a whiz at helping candidates work through admissions and degree checkout and process paperwork such as independent study forms.
Program Coordinator
The EDTC program coordinator is Dr. Fred T. Hofstetter. In addition to overseeing the Master's program, he coordinates the Doctor of Education specialization in educational technology. Thus, Dr. Hofstetter can help advise you regarding the possible progression from the master's to an eventual doctoral program. His e-mail address is fth@udel.edu.
Assistant Director
Dr. Gail Rys is Assistant Director of the School of Education. She directs the school's graduate programs. Candidates meet her at the graduate orientation session at the beginning of each semester. Her e-mail address is gailrys@udel.edu.
Staff Assistant
David Hannah is the Staff Assistant who coordinates logistical matters related to the School of Education's graduate programs. He helps candidates file the necessary forms, advance through the admissions process, and step through the degree checkout at the end of the program. His e-mail address is dhannah@udel.edu
