Using Multimedia on the Internet

Multimedia brings Web pages to life with stereo sound, colorful movies, and alluring animations. This part of the course introduces you to multimedia on the Internet. After exploring how Web browsers do multimedia with helper apps, plug-ins, add-ins, applets, and scripts, you will learn how to record audio and add sound to your Web pages.

Readings

Read chapters 23 and 24 of the Internet Literacy textbook to study the concepts covered by this module. Chapter 23 teaches you how Web browsers do multimedia, and Chapter 24 coaches you through the process of making an audio recording and putting it on your Web page.
