Publishing Files on the World Wide Web

To publish a file on the World Wide Web means to transfer the file into a folder on a Web server so that other people around the world can access the file with a Web browser. Unless your computer happens to be a Web server, you need a way to transfer your files to the Web. This module provides you with the knowledge and the tools needed to transfer files from your computer to a World Wide Web file server. As you work through this module, you will publish your home page and your résumé on the Web.
