Biomedical Sensing
We're developing portable systems for rapid bedside analysis of target biomarkers.
- In one application we're looking to detect trace levels of proteins indicative of a heart attack or stroke. The goal was to develop a sensor that can be carried by first responders or deployed at any clinic to perform a protein panel assay in less than 10 min. using only a finger-prick of blood.
- In another application we're developing SPR sensors to detect small molecule biomarkers in urine and other bodily fluids.
