"Challenges and Solutions" Poster Presentation Topics

We are seeking poster presentations that contain subject matter of interest to nurses and health care providers working in critical care, emergency, and pre-hospital areas. These posters should describe Challenges and Solutions in the following areas:

• Case Presentations
• Research / Evidence-Based Practice
• Creative Idea

Abstracts are limited to 500 words or less (excluding authors’ names and contact information) and must be received by or on August 1, 2007. The corresponding author of the abstract will be notified of acceptance by letter by August 15, 2007.

Who May Submit

Poster presenters should represent one of the following types of organizations:

• Academia (schools and universities)
• Government Health Agency (local/state)
• Health Care Organization
• Hospital/Clinic
• Managed Care Organization

Instructions for Submission

The 21st Century Visions of Nursing and Health Care Conference invites you to submit an abstract to be considered for poster presentation at the 4th Annual Conference. All submissions undergo peer review. Please review carefully the following instructions, as incomplete submissions will not be reviewed for consideration.

• Please send an electronic version of your abstract as an attachment using the Poster Abstract Submission Form. This is a 2-page Microsoft Word form available for download at this site. (If your browser does not automatically ask if you want to save the file when you click on this link, click on "File" in your browser's menu bar, and use "Save as" to save this file to your own computer.) This form is intended to be completed electronically as a Microsoft Word document and submitted by e-mail.
• Text must be typed in 12-pt font, Times New Roman or Arial preferred and limited to no more than 500 words and must fit in the abstract box provided. (Click here to see two sample abstract submissions: Poster Abstract Sample 1, Poster Abstract Sample 2.)
• Include the last name, followed by the first and middle initials for each author.
• Provide the organization’s name with which the primary author is affiliated, followed by the location (city and state).
• The body of the abstract must include a statement of objectives, a brief description of the project, program or document and findings with implications.
• Source(s) of funding or support for the project, program or document detailed in the abstract must be disclosed. All authors listed on an abstract must disclose information that may indicate potential conflict of interest (i.e. financial agreements, organizational affiliations) with the topic of the abstract.
• E-mail the completed Poster Abstract Submission Form to AWitzke@christianacare.org.
• Accepted abstract presenters will be notified by letter on or before August 15, 2007.
• For all accepted Poster Abstracts, at least one author or team member must register for and be present for both days of the conference.
