Ink wash is a medium from which a wonderful range of marks can be made. Being a wet medium, it doesn't offer the same amount of control as dry media you have used (like pencil or charcoal), but the "accidents" are sometimes the best part of the work.

You can use a variety of brushes for ink wash, but in our class, we will focus on the calligraphy-style brush. This brush is very flexible, just don't force it--let it flow with material and make its natural marks.
