Your first year in the Art program includes six Foundation courses and a weekly seminar:
Drawing I and II, Design 1, Design 2, Digital Media, Research Studio and the Foundation Colloquium
that serve as your introduction to art as a profession, as a form of visual thinking, and as a creative process.
Learn fundamentals of diverse media, technical processes, and studio safety.
Explore subject matter and brainstorm productive ways to pursue and present work.
Apply your knowledge of Art fundamentals in creative problem solving.
Develop original works that aesthetically engage viewers and communicate powerfully.
