Usability Study
According to Steven Krug's Book, Don't Make Me Think, websites should
be easy to navigate and the most important things should be easy to find.
The following is study conducted to test these factors on three different webpages.
How it's done
- A random page is chosen from the website
- At a glance try to find the most important parts of the page
What to look for
- What site is this? - Find the name of the site
- What page am I on?- Find the name of the page
- What are the major sections of the site?- Find the main and subsections
- What are my options at this level?- Find the local navigation for this section
- Where am I?- Find anything that indicates how you arrived at the page
- How can I search?- Find the search box
