Lisa L. Lock has worked at Winterthur as an editor for twelve years. She graduated from UC-Berkeley with a degree in art history in 1988. She worked as curatorial assistant at The Oakland Museum for two years before moving to Delaware to attend the Winterthur Program in Early American Culture. Upon completing her master's degree in 1992, she joined the Publications Department at Winterthur as an assistant editor. She became Editor of Winterthur Portfolio in 1995 and is currently Associate Editor in the department. She was editor of the following books: John Lewis Krimmel: Genre Artist of the Early Republic, Glass in Early America, New England Furniture at Winterthur: Queen Anne and Chippendale Periods, Recognizing Styles in Your Collection, and Life at Winterthur. Lisa is on the steering committee of the Material Culture Caucus of the American Studies Association; a director on the board of the Society of Winterthur Fellows; on the board of advisors of the scientific organization Alcor in Scottsdale, Arizona; and is the Emergency Medical Services Lieutenant and ambulance EMT at the Elsmere Fire Company. |
