Management Certificate of Excellence program launched

The Management Certificate of Excellence program has officially launched and is garnering enthusiastic, positive feedback from participants. With the official launch, we checked in with Melissa Bard, Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. 2022 W-2 forms

The University of Delaware will be issuing 2022 W-2 Forms by Jan. 31, 2023. As a final reminder, if you wish to receive your 2022 W-2 electronically, please go here to learn more or review your W-2 Electronic Consent Form. If you have already submitted your consent for Tax Year 2022, you do not need to take further action. If you have elected to receive your form electronically, you will receive an email once they are released and available to you via the online W-2 Web View.

Hinge Health virtual exercise therapy

Beginning Jan. 1, 2023, individuals aged 18 and over enrolled in a UD Aetna or Highmark Delaware non-Medicare health plan are eligible to participate in Hinge Health, a no-cost, virtual exercise therapy program. Learn more.

Webinars offered by ComPsych® GuidanceResources®

ComPsych® GuidanceResources® is offering program orientation webinars for employees and supervisors. Employees, pensioners and their family members can attend on Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. Supervisors are invited on Jan. 18 at 1 p.m. These webinars are open regardless of enrollment in a state health plan. Learn more.

ComPsych® GuidanceResources® is a free program available for State of Delaware Group Health Plan non-Medicare members and their dependents. EAP can help with a wide variety of work and life issues.

New communication workshop for work groups

Talent and Organizational Development is now offering a workshop called Building Communication and Customer Service Skills. This in-person workshop is designed for work groups to attend together, to enhance the participants’ understanding and adoption of these important skills. We work with each unit to customize the activities with their own scenarios. Groups of 10 to 30 participants are recommended. Please email talent-dev@udel.edu for more information or to schedule a workshop in the spring.

QPR Suicide Prevention Training

Now more than ever, suicide prevention awareness and training is needed in our communities. QPR Suicide Prevention Training is a 90-minute training designed to teach participants to recognize signs of mental health crisis and help save a life from suicide. Applications are now being accepted to nominate a standout student for the UD Alumni Association’s Emalea Pusey Warner and Alexander J. Taylor Sr. Awards for Outstanding Seniors. Delaware Basketball Annual Baby Race returns

Join us on Feb. 18 for our Men’s Basketball game vs. UNCW at 4 p.m. for our Annual Blue Hen Baby Race at halftime. The race is open to all babies between 6-12 months old who can crawl but cannot yet walk. Two individuals must escort the baby to the floor and can bring toys to encourage the baby along the race. Registration is open until Feb. 17 at 3 p.m., or until all spots are filled.
