Dec. 13, 2022 News you need Management Certificate of Excellence—Registration open Registration is open for Human Resources’ new Management Certificate of Excellence, which begins in January 2023. Participants seeking the certificate will complete five core and three elective courses being delivered both live (Zoom or in-person) and online. Newly hired or newly promoted managers will be required to complete the certificate within the first six months of entering their role. Visit ConnectingU to learn more and register. Holiday schedule The University’s holiday break begins for most faculty and staff on Monday, Dec. 26. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 3, when Winter Session begins. Learn more about adjusted hours for campus operations. Minimum wage increase Effective Jan. 1, 2023, the State of Delaware’s minimum wage will increase from $10.50 to $11.75. The Payroll office will automatically update any employee whose hourly rate is currently below the new minimum wage. If an employee is already at or above the new minimum wage, no action will be taken. Electronic W-2 forms Employees may elect to receive their 2022 W-2 forms electronically. Employers must comply with specific IRS regulations to use electronic W-2s, and employees must provide their consent to receive an electronic W-2 instead of a paper copy.
