Front Desk
1. Why come to the DLLC Language Proficiency Center?

If you are having problems with your language assignments, or if you simply want to hone your target language skills, this program is for you!

Specialized tutors are ready to help you identify your strengths and weaknesses, and become more proficient in your target language.

2. What happens in a session?

A session at the Language Proficiency Center typically lasts twenty-five minutes. Based on a sample of your work (a homework assignment, a video project, a composition draft, etc.), the tutor will help you pinpoint aspects of your target language proficiency that may need further development. Together, you will determine priorities, and begin work on resolving any identified issues.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our tutors will not edit or proofread your homework assignments.

3. What do I need to bring to a session?

Please bring the following:

  • A sample of your work (ideally, a draft of an upcoming assignment).
  • Your textbook
  • A bilingual dictionary
