Aramark CEO Eric Foss to present lecture, participate in UD student roundtable
2:27 p.m., Sept. 16, 2015--The next Chaplin Tyler Lecture Series presentation at the University of Delaware will be held Thursday, Oct. 1, and will feature Eric Foss, chairman, president and CEO of Aramark.
Foss will present a lecture and participate in a roundtable discussion with a group of 10 undergraduate and graduate students from UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics.

The lecture will take place from 2:30-3:30 p.m. in 115 Purnell Hall.
During the presentation Foss will draw from his experiences leading Aramark, a $15 billion global provider of food, facilities and uniform services with over 270,000 employees in 22 countries.
Since Foss was named president and CEO in 2012, Aramark has recorded consistent growth in sales, new business and adjusted net income and operating margins. Aramark is also recognized among the “Most Admired Companies” by Fortune and the “World's Most Ethical Companies” by the Ethisphere Institute.
Prior to joining Aramark, Foss served as chairman and CEO of Pepsi Bottling Group (PBG), the world's largest bottler of Pepsi‐Cola beverages, which manufactured, sold and distributed products in the U.S. and six other countries. He participated in the successful process of taking PBG public in 1999 and oversaw PBG's acquisition by PepsiCo in 2010.
Throughout his career with Aramark, PBG and PepsiCo, Foss has established a strong track record of generating profitable growth through integrated strategies and consistent execution that meets or exceeds financial commitments. Foss has led global teams to successfully build leading brands through a “frontline first” mindset while achieving broad‐based productivity gains.
Foss earned a bachelor of science degree in marketing from Ball State University, and as an active alumnus was honored with the Miller College of Business Award of Distinction. Foss serves on the boards of directors of Aramark, Cigna, UDR Inc., and Catalyst, and on the Business Roundtable and the Wall Street Journal CEO Council.
Foss also holds an ownership position as a principal investor in the Omaha Storm Chasers, the AAA affiliate of Major League Baseball's Kansas City Royals and winners of the AAA national championship in 2013.

The Chaplin Tyler Executive Leadership Lecture Series in UD’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics brings leaders from business, nonprofit organizations and the government to campus to share their experiences and insights with students, faculty and the business community in an open exchange of ideas and perspectives.
