June 5: Blue Hen 5K
University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.
June 6-9: Food and culture series
The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

The WWE Live Summerslam Heatwave Tour will come to the First State for the first time with action scheduled at 7:30 p.m., Friday, July 22, at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center.
Through Sept. 16: Women of color in academia
The University of Delaware Library will offer a four-case exhibition titled "Two Steps Forward, One Step Back?: Women of Color and the Dance of Academia" through Sept. 16 on the first floor of the Morris Library.
Nov. 17: Chris Young concert
Country music star Chris Young will headline the "I'm Comin' Over Tour" with a concert planned Nov. 17 at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center.

The article focuses on a study by Freda Patterson, assistant professor in the University of Delaware's Department of Behavioral Health and Nutrition, that says the timing of your nightly slumber may also influence your cardiovascular health, and night owls might want to think hard about changing their habits. “Someone who goes to bed later may have extended evening time that tends to be spent watching TV and eating unhealthy foods,” Patterson says.
