
Nov. 3: NIH Workshop
National Cancer Institute representative to discuss research funding
12:09 p.m., Oct. 6, 2015--The University of Delaware Small Business Development Center invites researchers to attend a Nov. 3 workshop with Kory Hallett of the National Cancer Institute, who will provide information on grants available for cancer research.
Specifically, Hallett will discuss the NCI's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (SBTT) programs. The programs are designed to promote research and development by entrepreneurs and small business leaders, whose work has potential for both commercialization and public benefit.

Hallett, a science and technology policy fellow with the American Association for the Advancement of Science, will also be available for one-on-one sessions after the presentation. The National Cancer Institute is part of the National Institutes of Health.
The workshop is free of charge and will be useful to those who want to know more about the grants, the application process and other details of the programs.
It will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute, 15 Innovation Way, Newark. A light breakfast will be provided.
