It’s an opportunity for students attending the University and participants with disabilities from Community Connectors to dance the night away.
There will be crafts, games, a live DJ with light show and refreshments.
Community Connectors (CC) is sponsored by the University’s Center for Disabilities Studies and helps adults with disabilities become more engaged in the community around them. CC offers individual and group support programs and utilizes an individual’s goals to connect that person with on-campus organizations, events and services.
“They ask about this event throughout the entire year,” said Allanah Barbour, a representative from the organization. “The goal of the party is for the integration of students and individuals with disabilities; they can learn a lot from each other.”
This year will be larger than ever because RAs are working with the sorority Sigma Kappa and the registered student organization Yes U Can Extension Club.
Those who would like to attend the event should contact epassera@udel.edu.
