Public sale of UDon't Need It? items continues until noon on Saturday

10:35 a.m., June 4, 2014--The public sale of used furnishings and home goods left by University of Delaware students through the UDon’t Need It? program will be held through noon Saturday, June 7, under the white tents at UD’s Science, Technology and Advanced Research (STAR) Campus.

Items range from furniture and appliances to workout equipment.

June 5: Blue Hen 5K

University of Delaware graduates planning to attend Alumni Weekend are encouraged to register for the annual Blue Hen 5K walk and run, which will be held Sunday morning, June 5.

June 6-9: Food and culture series

The 20th annual June Lecture Series at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UD in Wilmington will be held June 6-9. Titled 'June a la Carte,' this year's program focuses on great political documents, feminism, world politics and a Newark cuisine sampler.

Hours and prices are as follows:

• Wednesday, June 4, 1-7 p.m., with everything priced at $10.

• Thursday, June 5, 1-7 p.m., with everything priced at $5.

• Friday, June 6, from 1-7 p.m., with everything priced at $1.

• Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m.-noon, with all remaining items free.

Additionally, shoppers will be able to fill a large bag with clothing, utensils, dishes, small appliances and the like, and can purchase the entire bag for the set price of the day.
