The new students can meet more than 200 other incoming freshman, more than 40 upperclassmen from all facets of the University and countless faculty, all while familiarizing themselves with the campus before the rest of the freshman class moves in.
For the past 11 years, the event has proven that it helps diminish the stresses and worries of college freshmen, easing the unsettling pressures of starting over in a new atmosphere, a representative said, adding that many past participants have met their best friends and future roommates during Freshman Fest.
